Wadham Financial Solutions is a husband and wife team, Rod and Diana Wadham, offering independent financial advice based in Harrogate.
Rod
I have worked in financial services since 1971. Originally as a Building Society Manager with Abbey National for 16 years, moving around the country and coming to Harrogate in 1985. So for my last 2 years with Abbey National I was giving advice to the people of Harrogate about Mortgages and Protection products (mainly life assurance, critical illness cover and mortgage payment protection). I then became a Financial Adviser with Legal & General for another 16 years, giving financial advice in the Harrogate area for all of those years, on Protection products (both Personal and Business Protection - life assurance, critical illness, income protection, business protection for partners and company directors), Pensions (Retirement Planning), Investments, Savings, Mortgages and Home Insurance (Buildings and Contents Insurance).
In 2005 I became an Independent Financial Adviser in Harrogate, joining Sesame Ltd, who are the largest IFA network in the UK.; Being part of Sesame gives me the ability to offer whole of market advice, yet with the resources available in research, compliance and technical back up of a major financial organisation (which is a totally independent part of Friends Provident plc which in turn was recently acquired by Resolution Holdings).

I am the Administrator. My background is as a Legal Secretary, latterly as Secretary to the Partner in charge of the Property Department of the Harrogate branch of Hempsons, solicitors.

For mortgages we can be paid by a fee of 1% of the loan for our mortgage advice service for a standard mortgage, subject to a minimum of £750. For example, if we arrange a mortgage of £100,000 the fee will be £1,000, and we will refund to you any commission we receive from the mortgage lender.
